BEAU'S STORY
“How did you actually start Caviar de la Nuit?” It’s a question I get asked all the time. And now that we’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary (yes, really!), it feels like the perfect moment to share my story.
The very first Caviar de la Nuit event took place in November 2015. But the website – which looked nothing like the stylish community platform we have today – went live about six months earlier.
I was 27 at the time, a few years out of my Hotel & Event Management studies, and already deep into the world of festivals and large-scale indoor dance events. I worked as a freelance project and production manager, a super exciting and fast-paced industry, especially at that age.
But something was missing. I wanted something of my own. A concept where I could craft the full experience, from the first spark to the final candlelit detail. Less about the masses, more about personal attention and real atmosphere.
At the same time, I’d been exploring the open-minded scene for a few years with my then-partner. From popular lingerie parties to private home events, clubs, and meeting likeminded people on SDC, I was definitely no stranger to that world.
After moving from Breda (NL) to Hoogstraten (Belgium) for work, where I also met my husband, I realized something: in Belgium, there simply weren’t any upscale, open-minded events. Everything felt a bit… stuck in that old-school, dark, swinger-club stereotype.
To me, it made total sense: 1 + 1 = 3. I wanted to blend my professional event experience with my passion for this fascinating world. To create high-end, open-minded experiences where women are the focus; sensual, elegant, and thoughtfully curated in every detail. Of course, hosted in extraordinary locations that spark the imagination.
That’s how Caviar de la Nuit was born. I could see the first event crystal clear in my mind. Every detail. And with every fiber of my being, I knew: this is going to be something special.
Now, ten years later, my little baby has grown up. We launched a new, advanced community platform a few years ago, allowing members to truly connect with one another.
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot, stumbled now and then (with style, of course), improved and grown. And the passion I felt in the beginning? It’s still with me, every single day. I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to do this for a decade now, and for the last few years, even full-time, with my whole heart and focus.
